2004 - November - 18 The Revs announced to play Eurosonic Festival EuroSonic 2005 is the premier European showcase promoting upcoming talent to the media, the European live music industry and, of course, the public. This is the 10th consecutive time that Eurosonic is being held in the lively city of Groningen with over 25 venues and capacities ranging from 150 - 1000 people. This is the biggest live music convention in Europe with more than 100 bands from all over Europe playing over the course of the two nights. It is also the biggest radio exercise in Europe with no less than six national broadcasters providing the best equipped and best crewed recording facilities available. This year The Revs, who have been receiving amazing reactions to their newly Nick Seymour (Crowded House) produced material will be playing live at the event Thursday night, 13 January 2005. Previous artists and bands that have featured at Eurosonic include: Franz Ferdinand, Das Pop, Isak, Apparat, Slovo, Aerogramme, Dover and many more! Irish artists David Kitt, The Frames and Bell X1 have performed in previous years. The Eurosonic Festival is heavily supported by 2FM, who are among the 25 stations recording shows at the festival. EuroSonic is part of the Noorderslag Weekend: 13th and 14th January 2005. The Noorderslag weekend is not only the first, but also one of the main music events in the year on the musical calendar of Northwest Europe. Noorderslag Weekend is both a music lover's dream come true and one of the best networking and learning platforms for the wider European live music industry as well as the Dutch music industry.
